Parents Evening
We will be holding our Parent Consultation Evenings during the week beginning 16th October. Please could you sign and return the attached proforma to your childs class teacher to indicate the preferred date and time for your appointment. Your childs class teacher will return the slip confirming the appointment time.
Please could you wait outside the classroom and the teacher will collect you at the allocated time. The teachers have organised the appointment times at 10 minute intervals. If you have an issue that is likely to take longer, please make a separate appointment time for this.
There will not be any of the childrens work out for you to look at on Parents Evening as we have planned an At Home session on 20th November from 3.30 p.m. until 4.00 p.m. This provides you with the opportunity to look at your childs work with your child.
Security
The gate at the bottom of the field that leads into Carrington Lane Car Park is locked after the children come into school. It will also be locked at 4.00 p.m. each evening. This does have implications for our children leaving school after
4.00 p.m.
The main gate and pedestrian gate (adjacent to the Year 3 and 4 playground) will also be shut during the lunch hour. This may inconvenience any vehicles driving out of school but we feel that it is in the best interests of our children. Thank you for your co-operation.
Absences
David Galloway, the Chair of Governors wrote to you last week about the Governors views on encouraging childrens attendance at school. As a school we have decided that we cannot condone certain absences e.g. days out of school because a parent has the day off, time off to watch a football match. These absences will not be authorised by the school.
If your child is absent could you please telephone the School Office on 01252 548390 or e-mail to www.info@holly-lodge.surrey.sch.uk before 8.50 a.m. The School Office is open from 8.00 a.m. Any absence should be followed by a note to the class teacher.
