Harvest
Many thanks for the donations that you sent in for our Harvest celebrations. The Hampshire Youth Bureau were delighted with the offerings and collected them on Thursday. Thanks also to the parents who stayed behind after the Junior Harvest to pack the donations for collection. We were impressed with your speed and efficiency!
We do hope that you enjoyed watching the children in their assemblies.
London Chefs come to Holly Lodge
On Wednesday 11th October two chefs, Mr Simon Stocker and his colleague Bob, showed Year 3 how healthy food could be exciting, attractive and tasty. They demonstrated how to make vegetable soup, fresh fruit juices, smoothies and a delicious desert. Throughout the demonstration the children were able to taste the variety of food and were also able to assist in the preparation. As a final treat the children were given lollies made from cape gooseberries coated in white chocolate. The children were all encouraged to try something new including crudits and sushi. They were also asked to look at the different fruit and vegetables available in our shops and experiment with new tastes at home.
The staff would like to express their gratitude to the chefs for giving up their time and providing all the food. They would also like to thank them for donating three magnificent harvest loaves, a horn of plenty, a sheath of corn and a plate depicting the five loaves and fishes which were made by students at the college.

For further details please enquire at the School Office.School Uniform
Could you please check that all school uniform and belongings that your child brings into school are clearly marked with their name and class. A number of items have gone missing even though they have been named. Please check that your childs clothing belongs to them. Thank you.
Parking
It has come to our attention that cars are being parked on the double yellow lines just inside the entrance of the Carrington Lane car park.
Some of you may be aware of the problems last year between some parents and the council. If cars continue to be parked on the lines then the council may stop us from using the car park during school drop off and pick up times.
Toys
A plea from Ms Smart If anyone has any role-play toys that they do not need anymore, such as a pirate ship, castle, garages etc please bring to the School Office for use in Reception S Class.
