Authors Visit
E R Reilly the author who has written Tall Tales and Harriet the Horrible, talked to the children about his books and the characters in them. The children found him very entertaining and he gave them some insight as to how he works and prepares for writing a book.
If your child would like to purchase a book, please ask at the School Office for an order form.
CounsellorWe have a Counsellor, Beverley Morris, who pays weekly visits to the school. If your child is worried or has issues that may be affecting his or her general well being, you may wish for your child to see the Beverley. To access this help you should speak to your childs class teacher who will ask you to complete a consent form. Children can self-refer but we always ask for your written permission before any child has a session with the counsellor.
All communication with Beverley remains confidential. The school has no access to any of the communication other than if a child protection issue is raised.

Ash Grange School Council Meeting
On Thursday 19th October, Helen Taylor and Dylan White went to Ash Grange for an inter-school council meeting. We discussed what should be in a healthy lunchbox and decided that you should definitely have things such as fruit and yoghurt and things that you should definitely not have such as chocolate. Other things we decided you should have in your lunchbox is a drink (no cans or fizzy drinks) and a sandwich.
The next thing we talked about was lunchtime clubs. We announced that we had a puzzle club and a knitting club. The last thing discussed was play equipment. Some of the schools had full sized football and cricket pitches and stilts and basketball nets.
It was enjoyable talking to the other school and hope that we can attend another meeting soon.
